The HK Prize and the HK News Awards

The hk prize is one of the most prestigious competitions in Asia. It awards finalists monetary prizes, international recognition and a number of other perks. Participants must make sure to read all rules and regulations thoroughly before participating. In addition to financial rewards, HK Prize contestants can also gain experience in literary circles and build up their portfolios.

HK Prize winners have been activists fighting for freedom and democracy, some of them even under arrest; they have helped their communities overcome disasters; and they have inspired us to fight against injustice and to stand up for social justice. Other nominations include NGOs that provide medical aid to the needy, and community service volunteers who give up their free time to help those in need. They have all shown that the human spirit thrives under duress.

The HK Science and Technology Innovation Prize is open to scientists worldwide who have conducted research that has significant societal impact. It aims to encourage young researchers in Hong Kong to specialize in areas like artificial intelligence and robotics, life/health problems, new materials and new energy usage and advanced manufacturing. The prize is sponsored by the Bank of China and can be awarded to up to five individuals or teams.

The prize is co-sponsored by EU Office in Hong Kong and Macao and Goethe-Institut Hong Kong, and this year’s theme, Our Changing World, calls for submissions from artists to explore aspects of global evolution through art. This is the first time that the prize has included a rotating exhibition, a ceremony, and a charity auction to raise funds for Justice Centre Hong Kong’s work with displaced refugees in Hong Kong.
