The gloomy weather meant less competition for space at the city’s newly-opened pools on Thursday morning, with some facilities only partially open. Tang Wei-ming, director of the Leisure and Cultural Services Department’s Public Swimming Pool Management Section, said 14 indoor and outdoor pools had fully reopened while 12 were operating partially. He encouraged visitors to check online or call the pool before heading out, adding that those operating partially were mainly leisure pools, paddling pools and water slides.
